A Note From Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno:
There is a veiled, silent epidemic in New Jersey. It goes unseen by many, yet affects every neighborhood and every community. This epidemic knows no municipal barriers. It has permeated into every school district. It affects people of every background. Sadly, this affliction has hit many residents of New Jersey, leaving them in desperate need of compassionate support and steadfast guidance.
Thankfully there is hope. The citizens of New Jersey are fortunate to have an organization on the front line combating this epidemic, helping men and women find their way back from the darkness.
With over twenty years of success, Daytop New Jersey is well known for its highly effective treatment programs and high schools serving teenagers and their families. Daytop NJ has also diligently worked with men and women struggling from substance abuse and their resulting behavioral problems. Daytop NJ is fighting to reach and restore the suffering through residential, outpatient programs, a halfway house for women, and more. These compassionate professionals are delivering comprehensive substance abuse treatment to countless people throughout the Garden State.
Many of us know someone suffering from this epidemic. We know this pain in a personal way, watching a family member harmed by this affliction. Whether personal or public, we are all impacted by the deceptive allure of drugs.
